Andrew’s Evacuee poem
February 12, 2009
Today I can hear
children crying like waterfalls pouring into the bay.
Today I can smell
foul smells like that of mouldy cheese.
Today I can feel
my stomach like a bowl full of wobbly jelly.
Today I can see
country houses as big as churches.
Today I feel as sad as a man facing the death penalty.
Now you know my story of pain and distress.

Andrew congratulations on your poem.
Your images were great I could feel how scared and alone you felt, how frightened you were.
Great writing
